Olathe, KS – The Reflective Insulation Manufacturers Association International (RIMA-I) has named Monty Millspaugh of Reflectix Inc. as the recipient of the 2022 Alexander Schwartz Award. The honor was present at RIMA-I’s spring meeting, April 7-8, 2022, in Nashville, TN.
The Alexander Schwartz Award is presented to “a person or entity that has motivated industry representatives, contributed significantly to and advanced the reflective products industry and RIMA International and the acceptance of reflective products in the overall marketplace.” The award is only presented when a candidate is deemed worthy of such recognition.
As part of the award’s presentation, RIMA-I member Dale Tokarski of Reflectix Inc. shared background and personal anecdotes about Millspaugh and Membership Committee Chairman Dan Russell prepared a video presentation that was played for all in attendance. Association President Sergio Luconi then presented the award to Millspaugh.
For the last 30 years, Millspaugh has worked in various roles at Reflectix Inc., including sales, marketing, operations, and research and development. He was one of the original members of their Board of Directors, serving for many years, and is currently the Vice President of Technical Service. He continues to represent Reflectix at RIMA-I as co-chairman of the Technical Committee, Director on the RIMA-I Board, and serving on the Past Presidents Advisory Council. He has represented both Reflectix and RIMA-I at American Society of Testing and Materials International (ASTM) for C16 Thermal Insulation and E5 Fire Safety. He is active in code development as a member of the International Code Council (ICC). He is also a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers Inc. (ASHRAE) and the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).
